Are you following the real deal to prosperity?

As you read the Golden Nugget Newsletter, do you ever wonder where we’re headed? Is Stef Garvin a reliable guide to greater prosperity in your business?

I’ve certainly asked myself those questions many times.

Who am I to guide anyone to financial prosperity? What are my credentials?

Earlier this month, I began to journal daily exploring my relationship with money.

I wanted to understand my story with money better.

How did my relationship with money which had once been the focus and passion of my career take such a bad turn? How could I turn my relationship with money around?

There was a time when I took great pride and satisfaction in my relationship with money. I worked as a corporate accountant while getting my master’s degree in accounting. Then I leveraged that experience and education to rise the corporate ladder. It did wonders for my ego.

Then – in the fallout of burning out from too many hours, and too much squelching of my heart song – my relationship with money evaporated.

I stopped managing our family finances. I stopped going to the store. I stopped keeping a budget. I wanted nothing to do with money. It was a reminder of too many painful things.

Fortunately, my caring and intelligent wife picked up where I left off.

After years of running from money, I began to heal my relationship with money.  While the relationship continues to develop, I can happily say that I am in a better place with that relationship than ever.

During my absence from finances, I turned my heart toward story. At one time, I would have thought finances and story were strange bedfellows. Now, I believe they are wonderful, collaborative companions.

I believe story fuels our finances. If we unite our heads and our hearts, our story and our expression of that story can create greater prosperity. If our hearts and our heads are out of alignment, then our story can continue the cycle of scarcity and dissatisfaction.

Our relationship with money is an age-old story that holds the seeds of exciting possibilities.

I hope you will join me on the path to prosperity!
